The characteristic of genuine heroism is its persistence. All men have
wandering impulses, fits and starts of generosity. But when you have
resolved to be great, abide by yourself, and do not weakly try to
reconcile yourself with the world. The heroic cannot be the common, nor
the common the heroic. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Everyone of us has a living hero to whom which we admire. We know Wonder Woman, Flash, Superman, Batman, and Spiderman as superheroes with extraordinary strength and capabilities. But, these are just characters in the world of fiction and in thoughts of man-kind. Do we really have living heroes which shed light unto our profound existence? Of course, we all do have heroes which we keep in the innermost chamber of our hearts.
My superb hero is not Superman nor Wonder Woman. She can't fly, she can't carry tonnes but she keeps me going. She has been a part of my life from me as a single-cell up to now. She made me lived to the perfect life I have at present. She keeps me smiling even problems arise. She knows when I am feeling like the world's on me. and when she does she asks what's wrong then hugs me tight. She pampered me with true love and caress. She has been giving me everything she can and have. She is my mom.
She can't carry tonnes but she carried me in her womb for nine months. She sacrificed for my life. She can't run at a very high speed but can run as fast as she could when I needed help. She can't produce web like spiderman but she can produce something for our living. She is not a perfect fictional super hero in the television but she is the only hero I could ever ask for in the entire life I have. She is my super mom. I love her!
As Henry Beecher said, the world's battlefields have been in the heart chiefly; more heroism
has been displayed in the household and the closet, than on the most
memorable battlefields in history. Meet the super hero of my life, my mother, Mrs. Miriam Llanes Requilman.
