Digital Age

" What turns me on about the digital age, what excited me personally, is that you have closed the gap between dreaming and doing. You see, it used to be that if you wanted to make a record of song, you needed a studio and a producer, now, you just need a laptop. " ~ Bono Quotes
As time passes by, we observe progress in the way of our living. From the sticks and stones used in counting, to the Pascal's Calculator, to the computers and laptops of today's generation. We now experience the "Digital Age" where electricity is used. We are now modernized.

People around the globe are now aware of the digital things like internet. They make accounts in Facebook, Twitter and many other social networking sites. to communicate faster and easier, we use the very common language where millions of people know how to use. the English language.

Reflection

What my teacher in ICT is... is very much more important than what she teaches.

This grading period, I was very busy in many activities to the extent that I can't attend some of my classes anymore. Many teachers scold me and say things which my two ears don’t want to accept. They scold me in front of my classmates but not all of them does. There’s one teacher who completely understands and appreciates what I do for the school, and she is my ICT teacher. She just says “Long time no see Tine” every time I enter the computer laboratory. She welcomes me with a smile and tells me what I missed. I thank her for that.

This grading period is all about Hypertext Mark-Up Language or what we call HTML. We had many exercises regarding this. I liked our lesson because it can make our accounts, posts and comments more acceptable to the eyes of viewers. I am hoping that next grading period, I could attend more days in my classes and of course learn more from my ICT teacher.

Through Teamwork

"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success."   ~ Henry Ford
The month of September is intended to remember Mother Mary.  Aside from that, it is also a time to bear in mind that we are made for the environment and the environment is made for us.  Thus, it is our obligation to be a catalyst and advocate of environmental awareness. Stated in the Presidential Proclamation No. 264 is the celebration of the National Science Club Month (NSCM), the Philippine Society of Youth Science Clubs (PSYSC) on September  with the theme “Chemergy: Chemistry and Science Clubbing in Synergy.”
Before anything else, may I state how Chemistry grew like a flower that gives bliss to every individual who has it. In the past centuries, there was a group of people who were trying to experiment things that can uplift their living. These were the Alchemists. They wanted to turn cheap metals into gold and make humans immortal. They were the very first group of people who gave attention to CHEMISTRY. Because of this, we now have what we call “ECONOMIC PROGRESS”. But, Chemistry cannot do it by itself. Rather, it needs Science Clubbing in order to make work easier and better.
As what the team SSG for eternity says, “Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!”  It is very appropriate for any club to work hand in hand in reaching a common goal. From the very beginning, the goal of Chemistry is development. Development of food, infrastructures, jewelry, and many other things related to what people want. But, the product of Chemistry will be more polished and would be better if Science Club will offer its hand in making things happen. We can uplift our status in life if we obtain and exercise teamwork in everything we do. We must have synergy!
